Our loaf story.
Bristol Loaf opened its doors in 2017 founded by a small, dedicated team who wanted to share their love for quality baked goods.
Make it
We started as tiny open bakery where customers could watch the team at work, and have grown into a bustling city cafe with multiple sites.
The team includes skilled patisserie chefs, bakers and specialists in coffee and wine, with three kitchens creating seasonally driven dishes and friendly front of house teams. We also serve Bristol’s best roast dinner at our Beacon site! To this day, we are driven by the same passion that we started with - bringing joy to our customers through delicious food and drink.
Our ingredients
We use organic produce that is ethically and locally sourced whenever possible. Our organic selection includes speciality flour from Shipton Mill in Tetbury for our bread and pastries, Arabica beans from Oddkin Coffee Roasters, oat milk from Unordinary, which is made from 100% British oats, and dairy milk from Bruton Dairy in Somerset. All our meat is high-welfare and comes from Origin Butchers while most of our vegetables are sourced from Hugo's Greengrocer in Bristol.
Sustainability matters
We take sustainability seriously and are committed to protecting our planet. We actively collaborate with local businesses to source the best ingredients for our cafes. We've partnered with Oddkin Coffee Roasters to plant a tree for every bag of coffee used, and we source our wine from Native Vine, who have strict sourcing policies. From how we transport goods across sites, to our use of eco-friendly packaging, every detail of Bristol Loaf is carefully considered.

As an artisan bakery, we take pride in sourcing the best seasonal ingredients. We work with a handful of local suppliers to help us ensure that your celebration cake is looking and tasting it’s best - no fondant or artificial colours in sight! Our talented bakers decorate all our cakes with a beautiful selection of fresh flowers, herbs and fruit.
Our team takes every precaution to prevent cross-contamination. However, our products are made in an environment where NUTS, PEANUTS, EGGS, MILK, SOYA, SESAME, GLUTEN, and ALCOHOL are present. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that our products are completely free from traces of these allergens.
Our cakes come in two sizes with vegan and gluten-free options. Please order celebration cakes at least five working days before collection. For specific enquiries or questions, send an email to: cakes@thebristolloaf.co.uk.
